They were mixed, recorded and then tested on 3g of natural white wool yarn. The sample colour dot in the digital file and printed is not exact to the yarn colour. This is an example only. It can be challenging to match the actual dyed fibre colour to screen but I have done my very best. I recommend dyeing small samples of each colour and attaching them to the printed file, storing your recipes in a binder, away from sunlight. ABOUT As a graphic designer turned fibre artist and with background in colour theory, I have always loved colour and absolutely love mixing dyes. This colour collection was created using a systematic approach. The colours in this collection were mixed, recorded and then tested on 3g of natural bright white wool yarn fibre. You can experiment by over dyeing ecru, grey and other shades of natural yarn. Colours can appear different on different fibre types. For example, I have found the colours to appear more vibrant on bright white Mohair yarn, deeper on Merino 4ply and less vibrant on uncombed wool roving. INSTRUCTIONS 1.
