Wet Felting Vest Crop Top Template in x-small, small, medium, large and x-large on YouTube. The video tutorial is available for free on YouTube. This is a Wide Format Digital Download Printable PDF File only. This PDF can be printed at your nearest large format CAD or Draft printer.

In felting, the material has no give or stretch, meaning it doesn’t expand or flex like knitted or woven fabrics. As a result, all sizes are based on the fabric’s fixed, non-stretchable nature. I have increased each size accordingly to ensure a comfortable fit. (Testers needed).

If you’d like the armholes to have a more vest-like appearance, cut the armhole template straight instead of following the curved line. This template file does not contain guidelines for this option but will be updated in the future.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Purchase and download the PDF File.

2. Read the printing instructions in the PDF on the first page.

2. Print this large format PDF file at your nearest Large Format "Draft Plan" Printer at 100% in black and white. There are a few online options in New Zealand: https://theprintgenie.co.nz/products/a1-plan-printing 

3. Cut out the template and trace around it onto a more durable material such as flat foam or Eva foam. Then trace around your template onto your resist material, bubblewrap or flat packing foam. Cut out your resist template. Store your durable template for re-use. Begin your wet felted hat project!

Two cross hatched fine combed Merino layers: Shrinks approximately 15-20cm (lightweight, medium drape). (Fibre can contain silk)

One layer fine combed Merino + one layer of silk gauze fabric: The felted material shrinks approximately 15–20 cm in one direction. To achieve more shrinkage in the width, I recommend laying your fibers out in a horizontal (landscape) direction. If you prefer to keep your garment wider, lay your fibers out vertically instead. (Testers needed).
