I’m thrilled to share some exciting new changes to our monthly dye recipe newsletter! Seeing the results of our finished yarn is so exciting, but it's also about the journey of creativity, experimentation and discovery. Here are the changes:
1. Monthly Challenge
To encourage community engagement, I’ll be launching a monthly challenge. Dye your yarn or fibre using the provided recipes and share your results in The Palette Parlour Facebook Group page! Your unique interpretations and creations will not only inspire others but may also be featured in future newsletters.
• Connect with others and see diverse interpretations of the same recipe.
• Get inspired to experiment and discover your own unique take.

ps. I have decided this group will not be exclusive to newsletter subscribers only, but to all those who have purchased Muffs recipes and/or have an interest in fibre dyeing. Please do not share exclusive subscriber only recipes or purchased recipes, only the results! So much customisation and hard work went into developing them :)
2. Follow Up Photos
After the dyeing process, I’ll send out a follow-up email showcasing Muffs final results with a link to the FB group photo post. Expect tips and variation ideas on achieving certain effects based on the recipe!
3. Easy Format (Six Step-by-Step)
I don't just make changes on the whim. I use all Muffs digital files, tools and recipes for my own fibre dyeing and I don't know what I would do without them! I'm a forgetful, stressed out and impatient dyer and if I find something too confusing, I'm going to update the file asap and share it with you. Let's make this as fun as possible!
This new colourway format is now a Six Step-By-Step numbered instructional that now goes along with a Six Step-By-Step visual dye recipe page. I hope this new format will make for a quick and easy fibre dyeing experience! Please don't hesitate to share any feedback with me.
I believe this new format will create ease and open up a sense of inspiration, allowing us to dive into the dyeing process with curiosity and more creativity.

This months free colourway is a simple adaptation from a palette in the 'Madam Manor' 2023 Halloween Recipe collection. I truly disliked this colour palette when I hand painted it as a yarn colourway, then knitted it up into a scarf. (Ive been wearing that scarf all New Zealand winter long and I now I am in love with this scarf and these colours together! Oh how time changes things. So now, I want to share this mess of a dye job with you - Trick or Treat, Happy Halloween!
I want to share everything I know with you, so you can hone in, save time formulating, cut the confusion and enjoy the process and fibre art part of it more. Thank you to all of those who have supported Muffs development and continue to cheer me on.
